The system prioritizes roles that are most relevant to editorial communication and outreach.
For example:
If multiple people at one outlet meet your search criteria, the platform will display only the highest-ranked role in the hierarchy.
Reporters are at the top of this hierarchy — so if your search includes reporters, you will typically see one reporter per outlet in your results.

This function is entirely optional, but it can help streamline your targeting.
It’s particularly useful when:
You want to avoid emailing multiple people at the same outlet
You’re focusing outreach on key editorial roles
