If you've previously sent an email distribution or saved a draft, you can use it as the starting point for a new distribution.
Creating a copy lets you reuse your layout, branding, attachments, and other settings without rebuilding your email from scratch.
This is especially useful for:
Regular newsletters
Event announcements
Follow-up campaigns
Recurring press releases
Similar outreach to different audiences

Frequently Asked Questions
Will editing the copy change the original distribution?
No.
Creating a distribution from a previous distribution or draft creates a completely new copy. Changes you make do not affect the original.
Can I use a saved draft?
Yes.
Saved drafts appear alongside previously sent distributions and can be copied the same way.
Are attachments copied?
Yes.
Attachments from the original distribution are copied into the new distribution.
Always confirm they're still relevant before sending.
Are recipient lists copied?
Yes.
Any Targeted Lists or recipients included in the original distribution are also copied.
Always review your recipient lists before sending to avoid emailing the wrong audience.
Does the original schedule carry over?
If the copied distribution contains scheduling information, review it carefully before sending or scheduling your new distribution.
Should I use a template instead?
Use:
Templates when you want to reuse the same layout and branding across many different emails.
Past Distributions when you want to reuse a previous email, including its content.
Templates are best for reusable designs, while past distributions are best for creating a new version of an existing email.
