🔹 What Are Interactions?
Interactions are records of your communications with a media contact. They allow you to log:
Emails
Phone calls
Meetings
Messages or other touchpoints
Each interaction is saved directly to the contact profile and is visible to other users on your account.
🔹 Open a Media Contact Profile
To get started:
Use the contact search bar to find the journalist or media contact you want to work with.
Click their name to open the contact profile, where you’ll see details such as their role, outlet, and contact information.
🔹 Access the Interactions Section
On the contact profile:
Scroll to the Interactions section on the right-hand side of the screen.
This area displays all previously logged interactions for that contact.
🔹 Add a New Interaction
To log a new activity:
Click Add Interaction (the + icon).
In the interaction form, choose an interaction type, such as:
Email
Call
Meeting
Message
🔹 Add Details and Notes
Complete the interaction by:
Adding a short summary of what happened
Setting the date and time of the interaction
Including additional notes, such as key discussion points, outcomes, or next steps
These details help provide useful context for anyone reviewing the relationship later.
🔹 Save the Interaction
Click Done to save your entry.
The interaction will immediately appear in the contact’s interaction timeline, showing the type, date, and notes.
🔹 View Interactions Across Contacts and Outlets
If the media contact is associated with an outlet:
The interaction will also appear on the outlet profile
This gives your team a complete view of engagement across both individual journalists and their publications
🔹 Best Practices
Log interactions shortly after they happen to keep records accurate
Use concise summaries that clearly describe the purpose of the interaction
Add next steps to notes so follow-ups are easy to track
