Use Influencer Streams

Monitor journalists, influencers, and media coverage in real time.

Influencer Streams provides a live feed of content published by journalists and influencers across supported sources, including online news and social media. You can build streams using Saved Searches, Targeted Lists, or Keyword Searches to keep up with the topics, contacts, and conversations that matter most to your organization.

Influencer Streams is ideal for:

  • Monitoring journalists covering your industry

  • Following activity from your Targeted Lists

  • Tracking conversations around specific topics or brands

  • Discovering new media opportunities

🔹 Step 1: Open Influencer Streams

Navigate to:

Media Relations → Influencer Streams

If this is your first time using Influencer Streams, you'll be prompted to create a new stream.


🔹 Step 2: Create a Stream

Select Add Stream and choose how you want to populate the stream.

You can create a stream using:

  • Saved Search

  • Targeted List

  • Keyword Search

You can also enable Show Images to display images included with supported posts.


Option 1: Saved Search

Populate the stream with journalists who match one of your Saved Searches.

  1. Select Saved Search.

  2. Choose a Saved Search.

  3. (Optional) Apply additional filters.

  4. Click Apply.

This is useful for monitoring groups of journalists that match specific search criteria.


Option 2: Targeted List

Populate the stream with contacts from one of your Targeted Lists.

  1. Select Targeted List.

  2. Choose the list.

  3. (Optional) Apply filters.

  4. Click Apply.

This allows you to monitor activity from journalists you've already selected for media outreach.


Option 3: Keyword Search

Populate the stream using a keyword or phrase.

  1. Select Keyword Search.

  2. Enter a keyword.

  3. (Optional) Apply filters.

  4. Click Apply.

Keyword Streams are useful for monitoring journalists discussing specific topics, products, brands, competitors, or events.


🔹 Step 3: Review the Live Stream

Posts appear in chronological order, with the newest content displayed first.

As new content becomes available:

  • the stream updates automatically

  • an indicator appears showing how many new posts are available

  • selecting the indicator refreshes the stream with the latest content

You can continue scrolling to review older activity.


🔹 Step 4: Explore Contact and Outlet Information

Selecting a journalist or outlet opens their profile without leaving the stream.

From the profile you can quickly review:

  • Contact details

  • Editorial profile

  • Subjects covered

  • Associated outlets

  • Audience information

  • Recent Coverage

  • Existing Targeted Lists

  • Notes and Interactions

🔹 Step 5: Review Recent Coverage

The Recent Coverage section displays the journalist's latest published content, helping you determine whether they're actively covering topics relevant to your campaign.

If your account includes Agility Monitoring, you can also:

  • save articles to Saved Coverage Folders

  • apply Tags to organize coverage

🔹 Step 6: Add Contacts to a Targeted List

If you discover journalists you'd like to use in future outreach, you can add them directly to a Targeted List.

Add an Individual Contact

Open the contact profile and select Manage Lists.

Choose one or more Targeted Lists, then select Update Lists.

Add Multiple Contacts

Open the Stream Contacts view.

Select one or more contacts.

Choose a Targeted List.

Select Add Selected Contacts to List(s).


🔹 Step 7: Understand Stream Content

Each content card includes information to help you quickly evaluate the post.

Depending on the platform, cards may include:

  • social media platform

  • publication or outlet

  • journalist name

  • publication date

  • article or post preview

  • associated images

  • links to the original content

Selecting a journalist or outlet opens their profile for additional information.

  • Create separate streams for different industries, brands, or campaigns.

  • Use Saved Searches when monitoring broad groups of journalists.

  • Use Targeted Lists when tracking contacts you've already selected for outreach.

  • Use Keyword Streams to discover new journalists writing about emerging topics.

  • Review contact profiles before adding new journalists to your Targeted Lists.


Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a Saved Search Stream and a Targeted List Stream?

A Saved Search Stream monitors everyone matching your Saved Search criteria.

A Targeted List Stream only monitors contacts you've added to a specific Targeted List.


Can I monitor a specific topic?

Yes.

Create a Keyword Stream using the topic, brand, competitor, or event you want to follow.


Does the stream update automatically?

Yes.

New content is detected automatically. An indicator appears whenever new posts are available for viewing.


Can I add journalists to a Targeted List from the stream?

Yes.

You can add individual contacts from their profile or select multiple contacts from the Stream Contacts view.


Can I save articles from the stream?

If your account includes Agility Monitoring, you can save articles to Saved Coverage Folders and organize them using Tags.


Can I view a journalist's profile without leaving the stream?

Yes.

Selecting a journalist or outlet opens their profile alongside the stream, allowing you to review contact details, outlet information, recent coverage, and your existing relationship with that contact.
