Using Influencer Streams to track your coverage

Agility's Influencer Stream lets you track in real time what people are publishing and sharing on X, Instagram, online news sites, and other platforms. You can monitor activity using saved searches, specific keywords, or lists from your curated contact lists to track topics that matter to you.

Accessing Influencer Streams

Step 1: Navigate to Influencer Streams
Go to Media Relations > Influencer Streams.

Setting up Influencer Streams

Once a Live Stream is set up, you can see:

  • Posts from a saved search of contacts

  • Online media coverage from a specific contact list

  • Activity from journalists writing about specific keywords

Influencer Streams only shows posts from journalists and influencers that match your saved searches, contact lists, or selected keywords.

To create a live stream, click Add Stream. Then choose how you want to populate the stream.

Note: To display images associated with each mention, click Show Images.

  • Saved Search

    Use a Saved Search to populate your stream with posts and online coverage from journalists and contacts that match your search criteria.

    To use Saved Search:

    1. Select Saved Search.

    2. Choose the saved search you want to use.

    3. (Optional) Click the filter icon to refine your coverage by criteria such as stream content or outlet.

    4. Click on Apply

  • Target Lists

    Use a Target List to populate your stream with social media activity and published content from journalists in a specific contact list.

    To use Target Lists:

    1. Select Target Lists.

    2. Choose the contact list you want to use.

    3. (Optional) Click the filter icon to refine your coverage by criteria such as stream content or outlet.

    4. Click on Apply

  • Keyword Search

    Use a Keyword Search to populate your stream with posts and coverage from journalists that mention a specific term.

    To use Keyword Search:

    1. Select Keyword Search.

    2. Enter the keyword you want to track.

    3. (Optional) Click the filter icon to refine your coverage by criteria such as stream content or outlet.

    4. Click on Apply

The Content Stream

  • Posts are shown chronologically, with the newest activity appearing at the top.

  • Each stream is continuously scrollable, allowing you to look back at previous posts.

  • When new content becomes available, the stream automatically updates — an indicator will appear at the top showing how many new items are ready to view.

  • Click the indicator to load and display the latest posts in your stream.

· Quick Info

When you click on a journalist’s or outlet’s name, their full profile will appear in a panel on the right side of the screen. This panel displays key profile details, allowing you to quickly review their information without leaving the stream view.

Contact details:

When you click on a journalist or outlet name, their Contact details will appear in a panel on the right side of the screen. This profile provides an overview of their professional information, including:

  1. Name and Outlets
    The journalist’s name appears at the top, followed by the outlet(s) they write for. If they contribute to more than one outlet, an arrow will appear, allowing you to expand and view all associated outlets.

  2. Editorial Profile
    A short overview describing the journalist’s background or area of focus.

  3. Subjects
    The topics or beats the journalist typically covers.

  4. Language
    The primary language the journalist writes in.

  5. Contact Information
    Details such as email address and social media handles (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) if available.

  6. Outlet Address
    The physical address of the outlet where the journalist works.

Outlet details:

When you click on an outlet’s details icon, you'll have an overview of the outlet’s key information, including:

  • Editorial Profile
    A brief description of the outlet, including its focus, type of publication, or target audience.

  • Subjects
    The main topics and areas the outlet regularly covers.

Recent Coverage:

The Recent Coverage section displays a list of the journalist’s most recent articles, showing:

  • Time since publication (e.g., 1 hour ago, 1 day ago, 2 days ago)

  • Headline of the article (hyperlinked to view the full article online)

  • Outlet name

  • Option to select the article by checking the box and saving it to a folder or tagging it for easy organization and follow-up

Add selected contact(s) to a List (where applicable)

If you don’t yet have some contacts in your lists and want to add them, you can do so in two ways:

Option 1: Add per journalist

  1. Click on Manage lists button

  2. Check the boxes next to the lists you want to add the journalist to.

  3. Click Update Lists to save your changes.

Option 2: Add in bulk via the Live Stream

  1. Go to the Stream Contacts section, where all contacts in the Live Stream are listed.

  2. Select the contacts you want to add.

  3. Choose the target list.

  4. Click Add Selected Contacts to List(s) to save your changes.

Social Post Content Cards

Each social media post card displays key information and available actions:

  • Channel Logo

    Shows the social media platform where the post was published.

  • View Image

    Click the arrow/expand icon to display the image associated with the post.
