If a publication is registered with an independent auditor e.g. Nielsen, Rajar, ABC, SimilarWeb, etc. we will obtain periodic reports of these figures from the auditor.

If not registered with an independent auditor, online or broadcast, in North America, we look to the services of SRDS/Comscore, who provide reports of audience figures. 

If neither of the above, we seek the figures directly from the publication as a Publisher’s Statement. Please note some media organisations may have a policy of not disclosing figures either for competitive reasons or in cases where they do not carry advertising.

Online and Digital
These figures refer to unique monthly visitors of the publication's website.

Print

Circulation figures represent a monthly total. Where publications have a more or less frequent publication schedule, the figures are calculated pro rata to arrive at a monthly total.

Broadcast

For TV and radio programmes the audience figures represent viewers or listeners and are calculated per 60-minute segment or show.

Social

For social media Agility uses the aggregate follower total of the outlet for the potential audience. Individuals' social follower numbers are available on their profiles.
