Precision Clips helps you quickly find and save the relevant part of a broadcast mention. It uses AI to analyze the broadcast transcript, identify the section that matches your keywords, and create a focused clip. You can use the keywords that originally matched the mention or enter your own, and optionally save an AI-generated insight with the clip.
🔹 Before You Begin
To use Precision Clips:
Your account must have Broadcast Precision Clipping enabled.
The feature is available for broadcast TV and radio mentions.
The mention must have broadcast footage available.
🔹 Create a Precision Clip

You can choose one of two options:
Mention Search Keyword Context

Manual Keywords

🔹 Save an AI Insight (Optional)
Enable Save AI Reasoning as Insight if you'd like Agility to create an AI-generated explanation describing:
why the clip was selected
the context surrounding the mention
the type of broadcast segment
This insight is saved with the mention and can also be used in AI-powered reports and briefings.

After configuring the settings, you have two options:
Precision Clip
Click Precision Clip to automatically:
analyze the broadcast transcript
determine the most relevant section

The Media Editor opens with the AI-selected start and end times already populated.
You can:
preview the clip
adjust the start or end points

🔹 Review the Results
After processing completes:
the clipped broadcast replaces the original saved clip
an AI insight is added if selected
the mention displays information about the generated clip
🔹 Revert to the Original Broadcast
You can restore the original broadcast footage at any time. Where you find Revert to Original depends on how you created the Precision Clip.
If You Are Previewing the Clip
If you selected Preview and are still working in the Media Editor:
Click Revert to Original.
Confirm the action.
The original broadcast footage and start and end times will be restored, allowing you to create a different clip.
