With Agility’s Action Assistant, you can move seamlessly from analysis to action. Built directly into the Contextual Analysis workflow, Coverage Response uses AI to help you quickly craft thoughtful, strategic responses to emerging narratives without starting from scratch.
Accessing Action Assistant
The Action Assistant is designed to work hand-in-hand with Contextual Analysis, ensuring that any response you generate is grounded in real, relevant media coverage.
To access it:
1. Run a Contextual Analysis on your topic or date range
2. Review the key narratives identified from your coverage
3. Click the Action Assistant icon within the Contextual Analysis screen
This will open the Action Assistant module, preloaded with the narrative context so the AI understands the issue you’re responding to.
Setting Up Your Response
Once inside the module, you can guide the AI by defining a few key parameters. These inputs shape both the strategy and the final output:
Representation
Who you are speaking as (e.g., your client, brand, executive team, communications team, etc.)
Position on Key Narrative
Your stance on the issue or narrative identified in the analysis
Content Type
The format of your response (e.g., email, public statement, social post, PR action plan)
Goal
What you want the response to achieve (e.g., frame the news positively, inform, reassure, provoke discussion)
Target Audience
Who the response is intended for (e.g., internal stakeholders, media, general public)
Tone
The style of communication (e.g., professional, friendly, assertive)
Language
The language in which the response should be written
After setting these, simply click Generate to produce your tailored response.
Using AI-Suggested Positions
If you’re unsure how to frame your response, the platform can help you get started.
Within the Position on Key Narrative field, you can:
Click the AI suggestion icon
Select from recommended positions based on the coverage and narrative
These suggestions provide strategic starting points, helping you quickly align your response with best-practice messaging and the context of the story.
Final Output
The generated response can then be:
Copied for immediate use
Sent to your email client
Prepared for distribution within Agility
The Action Assistant helps you move from understanding the narrative to responding with purpose quickly, clearly, and with confidence.
