Within Agility, there are a couple options you may choose to 'build' your emails. You may write and format your email in Microsoft Word then import the document to Agility, you can draft the email within Step 3 of the distribution process in Agility itself, or you can use a third party HTML builder and insert that HTML source code to Agility. This article will explore the latter of those options.

Step 1: Once you have your HTML email completed, retrieve the source code. If you have the file saved on your computer, and easy way to do this is to open the file in an internet browser. Once open, you can right click over a blank space on the page and choose "view page source." That will bring to a page that looks like this:

Step 2: Once on this page, select all the text, and copy.

Step 3: Go to Step 3 within Agility's distribution tool, and click on the "Source" button in the editor:

Step 4: Remove all text within that source, and paste the text you copied from your HTML.

Step 5: Click "Save as draft" at the bottom of the page:

Step 6: You'll see an error above the editor that states you must include the required footer information. Place your cursor at the end of the source code you just pasted, then click the hyperlinked "Add Subscribe footer" button in the error message.

Step 7: That'll place the mandatory footer at the bottom of your email. "Save as draft" once again to save your progress to this point!

Step 8: Click the "source" button once again to leave the source code view and see the preview of your email.  It is strongly recommended you send test emails before proceeding.  If any changes must be made to your HTML, make those changes in the original builder and restart these steps from Step 1.

Step 9: Once your happy with your test emails, continue the process by clicking "Next step" and send/submit the distribution!
